Pet Policy: We have two pet-friendly rooms at the inn -- the Lucero and El Patio rooms. We charge $15 per pet per night. Because we have free-range chickens, geese, ducks, and turkeys on the property, your pet must be on a leash at all times when not inside your room or car. We also ask that you don't leave your pet unattended in the room. Please call us to book if you would like to bring your pet with you.
-- Pets must be on a leash while on the main grounds the Cottonwood Inn. This is for the safety and enjoyment of all guests, human and animal.
-- Pet owners must pick up after their pets.
-- For the enjoyment of future guests, pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds. Please bring your own pet beds and/or blankets that your pets may sleep on during your stay, or ask us for a loaner blanket if you need one.
-- Pets must not be bothersome to the Cottonwood Inn animals. There are four dogs, twenty-five chickens, six geese, five turkeys, three ducks and four ducklings (as of August 15, 2011) on the premises, and while friendly, they don't enjoy being chased or bullied by visiting animals. Please don't walk your pups around the chicken area as it drives the head rooster, Bernard, nuts and he crows like crazy.
-- Pets are not allowed in the dining area. Not everyone loves animals and some people are allergic to them. So the dining area and main house are off limits to pets to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You may leave your pet in your room in a crate while dining and of course you are free to put your pet in your vehicle. We ask that you not leave your dog in the room unattended at any time, for any period of time.
Single-Night bookings: We frequently offer single-night bookings at the Cottonwood Inn. Many b and b's do not. In order to keep this policy, we reserve the right to move one-night bookings to other rooms when necessary, in order to accommodate longer bookings. This means that we may give you a different room from the one you have booked. We usually only move people's bookings if it is an upgrade. Of course we will not charge you for the upgrade. If you are committed to only one particular room, please call us prior to booking a one-night stay.
We are only able to accept well-behaved children over the age of 12.
For those with animal allergies please be aware we do have two dogs (the other two live with the chickens) wandering the common area but which are NOT allowed in the guest rooms.
We charge $20, plus shipping, to return any items left in the room. If you do not want your item we will donate it to the local family-need center.
